Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 28, 2026

1. General

This Policy describes what data the Diplace platform (“we”, the “Platform”) collects about users, and how we use and protect it. Diplace is an international aggregator of opportunities for young people (internships, grants, sports and cultural events).

By using the Platform you agree to this Policy. We process data in accordance with the applicable personal data protection law.

2. What data we collect

We collect the minimum necessary data:

  • Account data (via Google sign-in): email address, name and profile photo. We never request or store your password — authentication happens on Google’s side.
  • In-service actions: your saved opportunities and organizer subscriptions — to show them in your account.
  • Learning profile (optional): grade, interests and goals — to match suitable opportunities (a personal “match percentage” and the “For you” feed). You can edit it or leave it empty.
  • Plan & achievements: application statuses (“interested / applied / accepted”), results (e.g. “2nd place”, “50% grant”) and screenshots you upload — for your portfolio and achievement verification.
  • Public portfolio (only if you enable it): your name (shown as “Name S.” in the global ranking) and the list of accepted programs/wins become visible to others via a link and in the ranking. The portfolio is hidden by default; toggle it in “My plan”.
  • Technical data: anonymous visit statistics (Vercel Analytics). This analytics uses no cookies and cannot identify you personally.

The catalog and filters are available without registration — account data is only needed for saving favorites, subscriptions and other features for signed-in users.

3. Why we use data

  • provide access to personal features (saved, subscriptions);
  • display your name and photo in the interface;
  • keep the service running and secure, and improve it using anonymous statistics;
  • respond to your inquiries.

We do not sell your data and do not use it for ad targeting.

4. Who we share data with

We use trusted infrastructure providers solely to operate the service:

  • Supabase — storing account data and the opportunities database;
  • Google — authentication (sign-in with a Google account);
  • Vercel — site hosting and anonymous analytics.

We do not provide data to any other third parties, except where directly required by law (e.g. a lawful request from authorized bodies).

5. Retention

We keep account data while your account exists. After you delete your account, related data (profile, saved, subscriptions) is removed automatically (see section 7).

6. Children and parents

The Platform is intended for youth and school students of all grades. Browsing the catalog is open to everyone without registration. If a user is under 18, we recommend using the service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

We collect minimal data. The portfolio and global ranking are hidden by default and become public only if the user enables sharing; in the ranking the name is shown abbreviated (“Name S.”), without age or contacts. Uploaded proof screenshots are stored privately and are not visible to other users.

If you are a parent or guardian and want us to delete your child’s data or turn off the public portfolio, email akm.work.acc@gmail.com — we will do it.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access your data and learn how it is processed;
  • correct inaccurate data;
  • delete your account and all related data — in “Account” or by writing to us;
  • request an export of your data — email akm.work.acc@gmail.com and we will provide it.

8. Security

Data access is protected at the database level (row-level security): a user sees and edits only their own saved items, subscriptions, learning profile and plan. Proof screenshots live in private storage — accessible only to the owner and a moderator. The “verified” status is set only by a moderator on the server (a user cannot set it themselves). Service access keys are stored only on the server and are never sent to the browser.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy. The current version is always available on this page with its effective date.

10. Contact
