Planet Four: mark seasonal features near the south pole of Mars
Volunteers identify and measure features on the surface of Mars' south polar region: dark seasonal fans and blotches that appear in spring. Mapping them in images from the HiRISE camera, the highest-resolution camera ever sent to another planet, helps researchers explore the Martian climate and how it changes over time. The project interface is available in English, French, Portuguese and Japanese. No special training is needed, there is no application deadline, and a volunteer certificate can be generated in the Zooniverse account.
