UN OCHA Internship: CERF secretariat, humanitarian affairs, February - July 2027

For final-year bachelor's students, master's and PhD students, and graduates of those programmes; a field of study related to the internship and fluent English are required, and fluency in French is desirable. Interns work in the secretariat of the Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) at the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, which brings humanitarian actors together to ensure a coherent response to emergencies. The internship is in New York (in person, hybrid or remote), full-time or part-time, from February to July 2027. The internship is not paid by the UN: travel, visa, accommodation and living costs are borne by the intern or the sponsoring institution; applications are accepted until 21 October 2026 on the UN careers portal (careers.un.org).

UN OCHA Internship: communication and humanitarian engagement, Dubai (remote options)

For final-year bachelor's students, master's and PhD students, and graduates of those programmes; a field of study related to the internship and fluent English are required, and knowledge of another official UN language is an advantage. The intern in OCHA's Liaison Office in the United Arab Emirates, supervised by a Humanitarian Affairs Officer, supports the monitoring and analysis of humanitarian needs, event planning, information materials, social media and the drafting of reports and meeting minutes. The format is flexible - full-time or part-time, in person, hybrid or remote - for 6 months (a minimum of three months) starting at a mutually agreed time. The internship is not paid by the UN: travel, visa, accommodation and living costs are borne by the intern or the sponsoring institution; applications are accepted until 16 October 2026 on the UN careers portal (careers.un.org).
