Neighborhood Hacks 2026: a one-week online hackathon for high schoolers to fix problems in their own community
Only for high school students aged 13 to 21; residents of Russia, Brazil, Quebec, Cuba, Iran, North Korea and Crimea are not eligible. Over the week of 16-24 October 2026, participants from every continent identify a problem they have personally seen, build a solution and record a 2-6 minute demo video. Tracks cover health, environment, education, safety, civic engagement, and accessibility and inclusion. The grand prize is $125 in cash plus licences and partner credits, with more than $150 in prizes listed in total.
