iNaturalist: citizen science - photograph wildlife for scientists
A free, nonprofit platform for nature lovers worldwide: photograph a plant, animal or fungus, the app suggests an identification and a community of naturalists confirms or refines it. Observations become open data used by scientists and conservationists. For children under 13 there is a separate app, Seek, with badges and challenges. Registration is always open.
