ASSIST Scholars 2027/28: scholarships for a year at a private school in the USA, ages 14-18, until 1 December
ASSIST accepts students aged 14-18 from any country outside the USA who are in the equivalent of US grades 9-11 (typically entering the 10th or 11th grade), have strong grades (A and B range) and are highly proficient in English. The Sanderson Scholarship covers tuition and room and board at a private boarding school, and the Lindfors Scholarship covers about half of those costs; families still pay the program fee (for Sanderson, $15,000 is listed on the page for countries without an ASSIST presence, with an average of $10,571 paid in 2026/27; for Lindfors, $37,500), a $35 application fee, travel, insurance and the visa. The application form and other documents are due by 1 December (the page does not state the year); interviews are held in December and January, scholarship decisions are announced in January and February, and school placements in March and April. A transcript, three teacher recommendations, a parent statement, photos and a short video are required; the stay lasts a full 10-month school year.
