PRINT: transcribe letters of European religious minorities of the 17th-18th centuries
A digital humanities project that brings together 3,000 letters of religious minorities (Anabaptists, Quakers and Pietists) of the 17th and 18th centuries from archives in the United States, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Germany. Volunteers transcribe the letters, and researchers use them to study the lives of ordinary people, migration and travel of that period. The project interface is available in English, German and Dutch. No special training is needed, there is no application deadline, and a volunteer certificate can be generated in the Zooniverse account.
