Backyard Worlds: Cool Neighbors - searching for brown dwarfs near the Sun
Volunteers search for brown dwarfs, cool neighbors of the Sun, in infrared images from NASA's Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) telescope. The discoveries may even be observed by the James Webb Space Telescope. The project interface is available in English, French, German, Japanese and Portuguese. No special training is needed, there is no application deadline, and a volunteer certificate can be generated in the Zooniverse account.
