Tsaghkadzor Open 2026: FIDE International Chess Tournament in Armenia, October 24-30
Chess players with FIDE ratings can participate: Group A - 2001 and above, Group B - below 2000 and a limited number of players without a rating; the organizers reserve the right to admit a limited number of Armenian juniors with a rating below 1900 to Group A. The nine-round Swiss tournament takes place from October 24-30, 2026, at the Eighty Eight Hotel and Spa in Tsaghkadzor (Armenia), with a prize fund of 7,000,000 drams. Registration is by paying a fee to the account of the Chess Academy of Armenia, indicating name, date of birth, rating, and FIDE ID; the fee depends on the rating and title (in drams), and participation is free for players with a rating of 2451 and above and titled players with a rating from 2401.
