Start in Science Science and Technology Olympiad 2026/27 (MIPT) for Grades 9-11
MIPT runs the olympiad for school students from Russia and other countries in grades 9-11. The qualifying stage is remote: an online physics test (the main Start in Science test must be taken by 30 December 2026, and the online stage of the Phystech Olympiad and several other MIPT online olympiads can be counted instead) and a research paper, with papers accepted until 30 December 2026 and evaluation results by 31 January 2027. The final stage is held in person on 27 March - 4 April 2027 in Dolgoprudny: a practical and theoretical physics olympiad and a defence of the paper. Sections include physics, electronics and quantum technologies, aerospace technologies, robotics and AI, biotechnology and others.
