Missing Maps: online mapping for humanitarian organizations
An open, collaborative project where volunteers trace satellite imagery to map areas at risk of disasters and crises, and field teams then add local detail such as street names and evacuation centers. No experience is needed: newcomers are trained at mapathons. Start with a mapathon from the events calendar or go straight to the Tasking Manager or MapSwipe tools, remotely or at in-person mapathons.
