Irish Weather Rescue (Met Éireann): digitising historical rainfall records
For anyone interested in weather and climate: a Zooniverse project of Met Éireann, Ireland's meteorological service, in which volunteers help digitise over 3.5 million historical rainfall observations. These early records matter for understanding historical climate variability in Ireland and for assessing climate-related risks when planning adaptation. Participation is online with no deadline, and Zooniverse lets volunteers generate a volunteer certificate.
