Hamamatsu International Piano Competition 2027: for pianists born in 1997 or later
Pianists born on or after January 1, 1997 can take part. Applications are accepted online only from January 8 to February 28, 2027 (until 24:00 Japan time): a video of the preliminary-selection repertoire, a photograph, a copy of a passport and letters of recommendation are required, and the entry fee is 20,000 yen. The competition takes place in Hamamatsu, Japan, from November 7 to 29, 2027; the first prize is 4,000,000 yen, and the winner also receives at least ten opportunities to perform in and outside Japan.
