BOINC: connect your computer to volunteer computing science projects
BOINC is software from the University of California, Berkeley that downloads scientific computing jobs and runs them in the background on your computer. About 30 science projects use BOINC to investigate diseases, study climate change, discover pulsars and more. You can choose science areas through Science United, or download BOINC and pick specific projects. Participation is ongoing and there is no application deadline.
