Joint Inspection Unit of the UN Internship in Geneva: research and analysis, 3-6 months

For final-year bachelor's students, master's and PhD students, and graduates of those programmes; a field of study related to the internship and fluent English are required, and knowledge of another official UN language is an advantage. The intern at the Joint Inspection Unit (JIU) at the United Nations Office at Geneva, the only independent external oversight body of the UN system, gains hands-on experience in oversight and evaluation through research and analysis for system-wide reviews. The internship is full-time (five days, 40 hours per week), preferably in person in Geneva with remote or hybrid arrangements possible, for 3-6 months. The internship is not paid by the UN: travel, visa, accommodation and living costs are borne by the intern or the sponsoring institution; applications are accepted until 23 January 2027 on the UN careers portal (careers.un.org).
