OHCHR Internship: human rights Special Procedures in Geneva, 3-6 months

For final-year bachelor's students, master's and PhD students, and graduates of those programmes; a field of study related to the internship and fluent English are required, and knowledge of another official UN language is an advantage. The intern works in the Special Procedures Sections of the Thematic and Special Procedures Division of OHCHR in Geneva, which support Human Rights Council mandate holders - Special Rapporteurs, Working Groups and Independent Experts - in thematic research and policy development. The internship is full-time in Geneva, initially for 3 months and renewable up to a combined 6 months. The internship is not paid by the UN: travel, visa, accommodation and living costs are borne by the intern or the sponsoring institution; applications are accepted until 31 December 2026 on the UN careers portal (careers.un.org).
