For students aged 13 to 24; residents of Russia, Brazil, Quebec, Cuba, Iran, North Korea and Crimea are not eligible. Student developers, designers and founders turn ideas into real projects over nine days; no prepared idea is needed and first-timers are welcome, with teams of 1-4 recommended. Projects are due by 4 October 2026, 11:45 pm US Eastern Time. Participation is free; prizes are non-cash, and first place includes a $1,500 YRI Fellowship scholarship and partner credits.
