Participants must be at least 13, and minors need permission from a parent or guardian; the hackathon page also says 'above legal age of majority'. Not open to residents of Russia, Brazil, Quebec, Cuba, Iran, North Korea and Crimea. The task is to build a computer vision project in which OpenCV 5 analyses images or video and a meaningful part runs on AWS; final projects are due by 26 October 2026, 11:59 pm Pacific Time. The prize pool is $20,250: $5,000, $3,000 and $2,000 for the top three places, $1,000 for each of two special awards, and $150 cloud compute grants for teams selected for them.
