Open to bachelor's students in physics, engineering, biology and medicine who have completed at least four semesters; master's students cannot apply, and applications from Russia and Iran are currently not accepted. The internship in Erlangen (the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light and three other partner institutes) takes place from March to October 2027 and lasts no more than three months (up to 90 days), with a stipend of €992 per month. Documents (CV, motivation letter, transcripts, proof of enrolment, passport scan, preferred research topic) are submitted online by November 15, 2026.
