Open to school students in grades 1-10 of educational organizations in Kazakhstan; participation is voluntary. The test is taken online in a personal account on games.daryn.kz at any convenient time within several days. According to the annual plan of the Daryn center for 2026, the olympiad is held online in the third ten days of November (21-30 November); the registration dates for the 2026/27 school year have not been published yet: in the previous cycle students had to check their account and confirm participation from 4 to 19 November 2025, and the test ran from 20 to 25 November 2025. In the new school year a new account on games.daryn.kz is needed to take part.
