Open to school students in grades 5-11 of educational organizations in Kazakhstan; participation is voluntary. The test on logic, algorithms and computer science is taken online in a personal account on games.daryn.kz at any convenient time within several days, and the number of questions depends on the grade. According to the annual plan of the Daryn center for 2026, the contest is held online in the third ten days of December (21-31 December); the registration dates for the 2026/27 school year have not been published yet: in the previous cycle students had to check their account and confirm participation from 8 to 20 December 2025. In the new school year a new account on games.daryn.kz is needed to take part.
