Diplace is not the organizer. Check the terms on the organizer's site and do not pay for participation unless the official page requires it.

For adults aged 18 or older from any country where participation is not prohibited by US or other applicable laws (the programme FAQ names exceptions: Russia, Belarus, the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics); students are eligible too. A mentee spends 12 weeks working on an open source project under a mentor's guidance: the spring term runs from 1 March to 31 May 2027, projects appear on the platform around mid-January, applications stay open for about four weeks, and exact dates depend on the project. Under the programme rules the stipend (where a project offers one) is set by purchasing power parity of the country of residence, with a base of $6,000 and a range of $1,000 to $6,600; prior participants of Linux Foundation mentorship programmes are not eligible.
