For volunteers aged 16 and over from any country with English language skills; travel information and a motivation letter are required. The camp runs from 23 October to 7 November 2026 on Mafia Island (Tanzania) and is built around five themes with workshops and community work: a holistic worldview, ecology (bioregionalism, permaculture), social issues, the economics of sustainability, and hands-on work on demonstration plots with organic vegetables and free-range chickens. Accommodation is in a youth hostel with three meals a day; the participation fee is 300 EUR, and applications go through the Service Civil International (SCI) volunteering projects platform.
