For applicants aged 20 or over who are in the 3rd year or final year of a bachelor's degree, in a master's or PhD programme, or who completed a bachelor's, master's or PhD no more than 12 months ago; excellent English or French is required. The vacancy notice is a call to join the candidate pool for internships in UNESCO's Sciences Sector, which promotes science, innovation and international cooperation for sustainable development: interns prepare communication materials, analyse partnership and fundraising opportunities and support workshops, conferences and consultations at Headquarters in Paris, field offices or institutes for 1 to 6 months, and a candidacy stays in the pool for 6 months. UNESCO does not remunerate interns: travel, visa and medical insurance are arranged and paid for by the intern; applications are accepted until 31 December 2026 on the UNESCO careers portal.
