Teams of up to four secondary school students solve a real-world mathematical modeling problem over five consecutive days, and the 2027 challenge starts on 1 February. Participation runs through participating countries and regions, each sending up to two teams; Kazakhstan is on the list, with the contact Alexandr Shakiyev, Nazarbayev Intellectual School. The cost and the exact selection procedure are not stated on the organizer's pages.
