Great Backyard Bird Count 2027: a four-day worldwide bird count open to everyone

For anyone in any country: it is enough to watch birds in any place for as little as 15 minutes and submit the species seen through the Merlin Bird ID or eBird app. The worldwide count runs on 12-15 February 2027, and entries from these four days help scientists understand and protect birds. Participation is free, Merlin Bird ID is available in 18 languages, and the project is run by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, Audubon and Birds Canada.
