Directors and studios as well as students can submit films: works shot after January 1, 2025 are eligible for the competition, and the international Zlín Dog student film competition presents animation, fiction and documentary films (the festival accepts short live-action films only as student films). Entries for the 67th International Film Festival for Children and Youth in Zlín (Czech Republic) are submitted free of charge through the form on the website with an online screener with English subtitles by March 1, 2027, and the selection results will be announced no later than April 1. The festival takes place from May 27 to June 2, 2027; the competition programme also includes feature films for children and teenagers, short animations for children of up to 15 minutes and European documentaries for young audiences.
