The hackathon celebrates underrepresented genders but is open to people of all genders, and no coding experience is needed. It is hybrid: on 17-18 October 2026 participants can attend in person at the College Park Marriott in College Park, Maryland, or online in the Gather virtual space, with the same prizes, workshops and recruiter meetings for everyone. More than 500 hackers took part in 2025, and registration is open on the website.
