Only for current high school students under the hackathon rules; residents of Russia, Brazil, Quebec, Cuba, Iran, North Korea and Crimea are not eligible. Participants build a technology project (a website, app, AI tool, game or device) that solves a real problem in their school, community or the world, alone or in a team of up to 4; AI use is allowed and encouraged, and no experience is needed. The hackathon runs from 1 to 7 October 2026 and winners are announced on 15 October; prizes are non-cash, and the 23 best projects receive awards.
