Checkpoint 01: free 48-hour online game hackathon for teens aged 13-18

Only for teens aged 13 to 18 from any country; no experience needed. A hackathon series for school students: over the weekend of 8-10 January 2027 participants make a game 'for good' (Games For Good) that teaches a skill, raises awareness of an issue or makes play accessible to people who are usually left out; any engine and language works, and AI is allowed. Participation is free, a Saturday workshop covers how to scope a project you can finish, and the kick-off is on Friday 8 January at 7:00 pm Indochina Time. Prizes are $150 and $100 in cash for the first two places, CraftPix and 1Password subscriptions and digital certificates.
