UN ESCAP Internship: economic affairs and trade policy, Bangkok, 6 months

For final-year bachelor's students, master's and PhD students, and graduates of those programmes; a field of study related to the internship and fluent English are required, and knowledge of another official UN language is an advantage. The intern supports policy research on trade, digital trade, e-commerce, global value chains, multilateral and regional trade agreements and trade-related regulations and their implications for sustainable and inclusive development, and helps with literature analysis, background documents and policy notes, presentations and training materials, and data work. The internship is in Bangkok, full-time, for 6 months. The internship is not paid by the UN: travel, visa, accommodation and living costs are borne by the intern or the sponsoring institution; applications are accepted until 19 October 2026 on the UN careers portal (careers.un.org).
